I live in the UK but wanted to get hold of an OzHydrofoil. Did a lot of research into Cavitation plates vs the winged variety. The issue i have with my boat is cavitation whilst planing. I felt that once the boat was planing the wings would be at the surface and wouldn’t provide lift so I opted for the wider surface of a cavitation plate style.
The OzHydrofoil has great reviews online for performance and ease of fitting and I like the way they match the paintwork to the engine model and that they’re aluminium rather than plastic.
I contacted OzPropellers throught their website and Matt and Jessica were quick to reply and help me with arranging recorded postage from Australia to the UK.
Using the bank details on the quote I was able to send the money but PayPal was also offered as an option.
The OzHydrofoil arrived within 10 days and I fitted it in just over an hour using the fitting kit provided, my own 3.5mm and 6.5mm drill bits a large Phillips screw drive, a spanner and some light grey silicone.
The hardest part was not getting silicone everywhere but aside from that is was very easy.
Overall i’m very happy with the sales and customer experience and I’d definitely recommend OzPropellers as a reputable company to deal with.
I have yet to get out and test the OzHydrofoil as my van is in the garage so can’t tow my boat to the river but as soon as I done will update this review.
I had one on my last boat and I wouldn’t have anything else.
